Chapters 27-28 Summary

On board the Chimaera, Pallaeon confirms that there are a hundred and twelve transient warships available at the Sluis Van Shipyards. They are sending their ships in using a cloaking device so the New Republic will not know they are in trouble until it is too late. Thrawn explains that they cannot use C'baoth too much for their purposes. He wants to keep the Dark Jedi on a short leash. Thrawn is also confident that the Noghri will make contact with Leia and capture her as they were instructed. They activate the cloaking shield and set the decoyed freighter toward Sluis Van for their attack.
