Chapter 19 Summary

Luke wakes up and realizes that he is no longer on the freighter. He also sense that he has been drugged. He fights against the effects and allows himself more rest. When he finally wakes up, he notices Mara Jade is in the room with him. He does not know Mara at all, but he senses that this woman harbors a great deal of hatred toward him. Luke also senses that his Jedi abilities are dampened; something is cutting his connection off with the Force. She informs him that Karrde wants to see him and she is there to escort him. Luke and Karrde discuss exactly what Karrde's intentions are for Luke. Karrde is undecided as to what he wants to do with Luke. He can kill him or hand him over to the Empire.
