Summary
In Chapter 3, Bobby worried that his mother would be able to read on his face that he and Ted had been talking about crazy things, but Ted told him out loud that his mother could not really read his mind. Bobby, however, realized that Ted had just read his mind. As Liz quizzed Ted and Bobby about their relationship and Ted’s desire to have Bobby read the paper to him, Bobby realized that his mother was never going to trust Ted. She insisted that Ted let Bobby read to him on the porch instead of Ted’s room.
