Chapter 11 Summary

Spencer is checking in for her spa day with her mother. She thinks how great everything is going. Her parents have been very attentive. She aced her AP econ test and Andrew asked her to the Valentine's Dance in a couple weeks. After the spa, Spencer and Mrs. Hastings go to lunch at the bistro next door.

Spencer finds out that her mother was at Yale Law School with her father and that's how they met. Mrs. Hastings got pregnant with Melissa and dropped out. She asks Spencer not to tell Melissa. Spencer starts to think about the night of Ali's murder. She remembers her sister talking to their father as if their mother was missing.
