Chapter 9 Summary

Aria goes to a shop in Yarmouth for a séance. She wants to try to reach Ali to see what she needs to tell them. Aria runs into her brother's best friend and a boy from their school, Noel. Noel is also someone Aria had a rush on, but he always liked Ali. The two are beckoned into the back room where the séance will take place.

When the séance begins, Equinox, the leader of the séance, approaches Aria, saying her friend is there. Aria believes it's Ali because Equinox says he knows everything about Aria, but that Aria hates that she knows everything about her, and that Aria wanted Ali gone. When Equinox mentions Ali stealing Aria's boyfriend, Aria runs from the room, thinking Equinox is a fake because Aria didn't have a boyfriend when Ali disappeared.
