Chapter 5 Summary

On Monday morning, Aria's father, Byron, is driving her to school since her car is on the fritz. Aria is looking at the yellow tape surrounding the woods between her backyard and Spencer's backyard. The police called her the previous night to find out more about whom she saw in the woods and the police have been searching the woods for clues on who started the fire.

As they drive pass Ian's house, she thinks about the IMs the girls were receiving from Ian. Aria wonders why he's giving them the wrong information. She also thinks about how he lost his ring without knowing and why the cops didn't find it before she did in the woods. As they drive past Spencer's street, Aria spots Jenna Cavanaugh and her guide dog. Aria thinks about how Jenna knows more about Ali than she is...
