Chapter 4 Summary

Hanna is getting ready for school and talking to her boyfriend, Mike, on the phone. Mike is also Aria's younger brother. Hanna admits that she hasn't heard from the new A since she changed her number and got a new iPhone. Hanna also thinks about how they found out the old A was Hanna's former best friend, Mona Vanderwaal. When Hanna hangs up with Mike, she goes downstairs to find her soon-to-be step-sister, Kate, in the kitchen.

Kate and Hanna dislike each other but might have called a cease-fire at a recent party where Kate told Mike Hanna only asked him out on a bet and Hanna told everyone Kate has herpes.
