Chapter 2 Summary

Six hours later, they are discharging Aria from the emergency room. The nurse tells Aria that Spencer is in room 206 and wants to speak with her before she leaves. As she gets dressed, Aria is thinking about the night before. She is running through the woods heading toward Spencer's house when she slips on wet leaves and hears someone light a match before the woods are on fire. She thinks she sees the body of the person they found in the half-dug hole at the DeLaurentis home almost four years ago—Ali's body. Aria' doctor told her that the noxious fumes from the make could have caused the hallucination. Aria thinks she didn't know that group hallucinations were possible since all of them saw Ali the night before.
