Summary
Chapter 26: Catherine makes her way to the platform where her father is telling the story of the first Turtle Days Festival. The story is of a lobster and a turtle who fell in love and overcame many obstacles to be together. Catherine’s father announces that she will now dance the lobster quadrille.
Before the dance begins, Jest comes up and brushes Catherine’s wrist. He compliments her on her macaroon hat and asks her what the hat does. She does not know what he is talking about.
