Chapter 22 Summary

After the fire, Susannah never sees Marcus again. Susannah's parents ground her when they find out she had been at the Beaumont's when she was sent home to change her clothes. Mr. Beaumont claims he had been waiting for his lunch by taking a nap in his coffin when he found out about the fire. This lands Mr. Beaumont under psychiatric observation for a few days. When Susannah is going to her room to serve her punishment, Dopey tells them about her punching him in the stomach that morning. Susannah is looking at some pictures her mom hung up when her father appears. Susannah's mom tells her that Gina's parents agreed to let her fly out for a visit when she realizes that Andy's first wife died of ovarian cancer and that he had to pull the plug while she was in a...
