Chapter 19 Summary

Marcus steers Susannah into Red's office in the mansion. He throws a Speedo swimsuit at her to put on. Susannah notices that Tad is laid out on the couch only wearing a pair of swim trunks. Marcus admits that he never intended for Mrs. Fiske's body to be found, but he intends for Tad and Susannah's bodies to be found as if they drowned in a tragic jet skiing accident. Marcus leaves Susannah to change into the bathing suit. Susannah decides to climb on the bookshelf with her gloves on and a shard of glass to use as a weapon when Marcus comes back into the office. As Marcus returns, Susannah pushes the swivel desk chair into the large aquarium in the room.
