Chapter 7 Summary

As Red greets Susannah, he keeps staring at the cross necklace she's wearing. When Susannah delivers the message, Red seems fascinated instead of astonished. Susannah lies saying the woman came to her in a dream. Her instincts tell her to escape but the shutters outside of the window seem nailed shut. A man, Marcus, comes off the elevator. He too stares at Susannah's necklace and neck. Marcus leads Susannah on to the elevator.

Chapter 7 Analysis

Red starting at the cross indicates he might be some kind of supernatural being, such as a vampire. The shutters being nailed to windows not allowing light in further indicates Red is a vampire.
