Paige falls into a stress-induced trance, wandering through the streets of Cambridge, unaware of her surroundings. The only thing Paige can think is that her baby is dead. Paige begins to scream at God, asking why he did not take her instead. Paige lies on the concrete and feels someone slip his arms around her and pulls her off the ground.
