Summary

Jay and Celeste arrive at the Airbnb apartment they are staying at in Berlin. Jay finds he cannot get Mimi on the phone. In Chapter 11, Jay keeps calling, but Mimi is still not answering. Ludicrously, Jay assures himself that he is not nervous about meeting his mother. He goes to the gallery that is showing her work, and when he sees a photograph of her, faints.

In Chapter 12, he awakens, enters the gallery, and reads his mother's artist profile. He tells the intern working the desk that he needs to contact Yuki Oyama. The intern calls Yuki and, as instructed, tells her that the matter is related to Edison. Yuki agrees to see Jay the next day. She has not been told he is her son.
