Summary

Yuki and Odile are in Central Park feeding goslings when they are approached by two young men who invite them out for a drink. One of the men, who Yuki mentally refers to as “Trench Coat,” is a fashion photographer and interested in Odile, both personally and professionally (60). The other man, Edison, chats with Yuki. Edison is an architecture student from Montreal. She tells him she wants to be an artist. Shortly thereafter, Yuki tries to accompany Odile on a photo shoot with Trench Coat, but he quickly sends her away. When Odile returns from the shoot, she is upset, even angry at Yuki, but she will not explain what happened after Yuki left. Afterward, Odile begins getting regular modeling gigs from Trench Coat, as Odile and Yuki drift further apart.
