Summary
In “Chapter 28: Dark Place,” Harriet tries to help Wyn feel better after his father’s passing, but he does not seem happy until they go back to Montana to visit his mother, who has developed Parkinson’s. Harriet tells Wyn to stay there, and he agrees, so they begin a long-distance relationship. One night, she goes out with her residency friends, including a man named Martin. He drives Harriet home and walks her to her door. She is shocked when he kisses her. She immediately calls Wyn and tells him what happened. Wyn tells her that their relationship is no longer working.
