Summary

Happy Liu is arrested at Xi'an Station Square, for trying to move the corpse of his friend, Wufu, back to his rural home in Freshwind. Happy and Lively Shi carry the body in a bedroll tied with rope. When the police see them, Lively lets go of the body and runs. Happy wants to return Wufu's body back home, fearing his spirit is going to linger around the square in the city. Happy and Wufu end up in Xi'an because Happy sold his kidney to someone from the city, so he feels as if he belongs there. He changes his name from Hawa to Happy, believing that changing his name will change his fortune, and that he is happy by nature.
