Berlin

Berlin is a city in Germany. It is also where Sid and the others are touring to try to make it as band musicians when the war breaks out. The band members try to leave Berlin to escape the war and to go to Paris to record with Louis Armstrong.

Paris

Sid and the others are in Paris when the war officially breaks out. They remain in Paris, waiting for Hiero's visas to leave the country. While they are in Paris, the Nazis imprison Hiero in one of the internment camps.

Baltimore

Baltimore is a city in Maryland. It is where Sid is from originally. Sid returns to Baltimore to live after he leaves Paris during the war. Sid leaves Baltimore to make the return trip to Europe for the Falk Festival.

Mathhausen

Mathausen is a concentration camp. It is the concentration camp where the Nazis take...
