III Berlin 1939 II Pages 89-107 Summary

Chip and Paul are playing cards while they talk to Sid about how he can land Delilah. Chip tells Sid that he hasn't to get rid of Hiero first. This is when Hiero walks from backstage with Delilah following him. As Sid watches how Hiero and Delilah are interacting, Sid realizes that he does have to do something to win Delilah over.

After being in the Hound for a few days, Sid realizes Hiero gave Delilah a stray cat as a present. In an attempt to win her over, Sid tries to give Delilah his coat to keep her warm. Because Sid is drunk, he ends up struggling to get his arms out of the coat and making a fool of himself. Later, Sid finds out Delilah is upstairs in Ernst's office alone.
