North Conway

North Conway, New Hampshire, is the town near the lake where Lucy and her family move, and where Nate and his family vacation. It is a small town, full of locally-owned and operated businesses such as Barton’s Grocery and Lakeview Gift Shop. The North Conway area is noted by its lakes, trees, mountains, and Cherry Mountain in particular. Both Lucy and Nate find the area beautiful.

The Lake

The lake near North Conway is where Lucy and her family buy a cottage, and where Grandma Lilah owns a summer cottage the family visits from New Jersey each year. The lake is beautiful, surrounded by woods and mountains. At the center of the lake is the island of the loons. The lake is also home to a boat marina, public launches, and water sports like kayaking and motor boating.
