Summary

In Chapter 33, the next night, Gwendy pulls the lever and the box dispenses another piece of chocolate. This time Gwendy walks to the bathroom without panicking and flushes it. She tells the box that means she is in control.

In Chapter 34, Gwendy goes for a run. She feels out of sorts because she has a difficult task she will have to take care of later that morning.

In Chapter 35, Gwendy walks into the sheriff’s department to meet with Caroline and Frank Hoffman, the parents of one of the missing girls.

Caroline is haughty and hateful to both Gwendy and the sheriff. She suggests the sheriff needs someone to help him do his job properly.
