Chapters 17-25 Summary

Anita decides not to go back to sleep and instead goes into work at Animators, Inc. Anita confronts Bert, her boss, about the vampires and what occurred the night before with Nikolaos, Aubrey, Phillip, and Zachary. Bert offers no additional insight into Anita's theories.

Jamison, one of the other animators at Animators, Inc. is in the midst of a client meeting when Anita arrives. Although the company's offices are fairly new, they are small and the animators are often required to share offices. Anita's shift is scheduled to start at five o'clock so Jamison has use of the office until then. Jamison's clients are a wealthy woman and her teenage son.
