Part I, Chapters Seven through Ten Summary

In chapter seven, Joe is working late as is typical of all attorneys in the firm. Mark says that he has put in long hours himself, working as hard as he demands of his junior partners. Mark goes to Joe's office, picking up all the resumes for the summer intern positions and telling Joe that he will no longer be handling the process, hinting that there is to be a promotion in the works for him. Joe goes to Christina's, apologizes for a fight they had earlier in the day about her decision to leave her resume, and proposes. Christina accepts.
