Dog Man's Badge

A badge is a symbol of authority and identity, and Dog Man's badge identifies him as a member of the police department. When the Mayor becomes angry at him, he takes the badge away, eliminating that crucial piece of Dog Man's identity. When the Mayor gives the badge back, it is a symbol of renewed trust, and of reward for doing a good deed.

Mr. Snookums

Mr. Snookums is the name of the Mayor's stuffed animal. It symbolizes the Mayor's personality. Though he tries to be tough and authoritative, he is clearly putting on an act.

Snug and Crud

Snug and Crud are the alter-egos of Big Jim and Grampa. The names symbolize the true personalities of each. While Big Jim becomes a cat who just wants to cuddle, Grampa becomes a villain who tries to wreck everything he sees.
