Summary
Crow begins another fairy tale and states that it is true. He explains about a demon who feeds on grief. The demon can smell grief coming from a widower’s house, so he knocks on the door, identifying himself as a neighbor needing to borrow milk. The father in the tale recognizes that the house number the demon gave is not real, so the father does not open the door. The next night, the demon makes another attempt. He identifies himself as a man from Parenthesis Press who heard about the man’s wife and brought a pizza. The father does not open the door because he does not recognize the name of the man.
