Summary

Chapter 16 - Sam goes into work and ends up having a very chaotic day. Her first client of the day is Pamela Booker. Pamela recently had her wages garnished for credit card debt that was over ten years old. She tells Sam that she had no idea about the debt since it was from before her divorce. Her employer fires her because he doesn't want to deal with all the paperwork. Pamela has now lost her home, and she and her two children are living out of their car. Sam and the others help Pamela throughout the day, getting food for her and the children and eventually securing a motel for them.

Sam goes after Pamela’s former employer as well as the collection agency that is trying to take her money. She prepares the lawsuit, but before she can file it Phoebe...
