Summary

In the section “The Dragon Parade” while the teens were dancing in Eden, the family of tourists who had met Austin in the secondhand store had a picnic lunch in Amelia Jenks, Bloomer Park. One of the twin boys spotted the bugs that had once been Grant Wallace’s friends skittering across the Little League field and believed it was a dragon parade. These bugs, which looked like praying mantises, ate the family of tourists then went on their search for more food and the female bug that had hatched from Eileen Pope.
