Grace, Graced powers

In the land of the seven kingdoms, a certain small proportion of children are born with Graced powers. These children have eyes of different colors. Their Graced power can range from something important like fighting, killing, mindreading or foreseeing the weather, to something entertaining or trivial like power to dance, cook or swim. Anyone from the aristocracy to peasants can have the luck of having children born to them who are Graced.

The Seven Kingdoms

The story takes place in the land of the seven kingdoms. There is a map of the kingdoms in the book of these lands. They are the Middluns, Sunder, Lienid, Monsea, Estill, Wester and Nander. Katsa is from the Middluns and journeys to Sunder, Monsea and Lienid, so these are the actual scenes of action of the book.
