Katsa of the Middluns

Katsa of the Middluns is the main character and protagonist of the story. She is a Graced killer in that she can fight and defeat anyone and can avoid arrows shot at her. At the beginning of the story Katsa is eighteen and the founder of a secret Council, dedicated to correcting abuses in the land of the seven kingdoms. At the same time, Katsa is charged by her uncle King Randa of the Middluns to assault, torture or kill his enemies when he calls her.

Katsa meets her match when she meets Prince Po, the grandson of Tealiff, the man that she helps rescue. Despite her amazing powers, Katsa is socially unaware and does not realize until she is told that Lord Giddon is in love with her.
