Chaps. 38-39, Epilogue Summary
Chap. 38. Po reveals that he still had his vision for several days after his fall into the pond, and only became blind just before Katsa left with Bitterblue. Po was filled with self-pity until he mobilized himself when he sensed Leck's soldiers approaching and hid in the hideout behind the waterfall as he had planned. Thus, Po avoids being captured. Meanwhile, Bitterblue and her guards are still by the cabin, though they are frequently sent supplies from King Ror. Bitterblue decides she wants to learn how to use a sword, and Katsa helps her and provides with drills. Po seems more relaxed and is eating more. Katsa runs outside and embraces Po in the woods.
