Omaha Public Library

The Omaha Public Library is located in downtown Omaha. While patrons can borrow books from the library, they can also borrow babies. A card catalogue is located in the library's circulation room, and contains cards for each infant, describing their personalities, likes and dislikes. The nursery is located on the seventh floor. Women interested in borrowing a baby can browse the infants in the nursery before selecting one to take home. Sidra works on the seventh floor, and devotes herself to caring for the children. On Hadley's first visit to the library, she expresses no interest in disguising her motivations, like others of the female patrons. Instead, she selects Gemma, and waits for Sidra to set her up with the necessary accessories.
