The Unique Actions of Gorillas
Fossey's purpose in studying the gorillas is to log actions and interactions of the species. Fossey soon comes to realize that there are a number of unique actions and interactions of the gorillas she comes to know and recognize. One of those is Digit, a young male who is always interested in the contents of Fossey's bag. Digit isn't the first to show this interest. In fact, Fossey had interacted with another youngster named Puck. One day Puck is insisting that Fossey give him her camera and she hands him a National Geographic Magazine, then is amazed to find that Puck turns the pages, looking with interest at the pictures.
