Summary

February marks the beginning of Howard's class at the university. Ruth heads to campus with her dad for the first day of class. She explains that she herself never finished college. She dropped out just seven months shy of graduating to be with Joel in Connecticut, where he was in medical school. Her parents still do not have a clue that she never finished college.

Parking on campus for class has become tricky. They must keep out of Levin's sight so that he does not see Howard and ask any questions about why he is on campus. They also need to avoid getting parking tickets; Howard asks Ruth to renew his parking pass, but of course, she is forced to forge one instead. Ruth devises several plans to avoid parking on campus. One day, they go to dinner at a restaurant close...
