Summary
In Chapter Two, Pip watched Netflix with her best friend, Cara Ward, over the phone. Pip felt terrible about what she did to Cara’s father, but the two girls remained strong friends despite everything that happened. Cara’s maternal grandmother had moved in to allow Cara and her older sister Naomi to retain some stability. However, Pip was not looking forward to the summer because Cara would be leaving Fairview and Pip would be going to college at Columbia.
The section “Friday” contains only Chapter Three. Pip met Ravi at the memorial for Sal in the town square. After years of being ostracized and humiliated because of the false accusations against Sal, his family is finally able to publicly mourn him and proclaim what a wonderful person he truly was.
