Razors

Razors are sword-like weapons wielded by military members and Golds, including Darrow. They are a primary weapon, used for duels, stabbing, fighting, and killing. Razors are given to the Obsidians of Mars during the fight against the Bellonas, provoking shock from some of the Golds and Nero. The handing of Razors, a privileged weapon, to the Obsidians, is a statement of equality and defies the laws of the Compact. For Darrow, however, this is symbolic of the beginning of a new day and a new order.

holoNet

The holoNet is the future transformation of the Internet, available across the galaxy. It is used frequently throughout the novel for the purposes of communication, business, and information. The holoNet can be accessed through dataPads and other such electronic devices.
