Adra tells Isabella that Ramon will come that night. She cringes, and tries not to show the revulsion she feels at the idea. Adra slips out and Bella knows she can't prepare in any way for Sean should they come this evening. She prays Sean will reach her before Ramon does, but not too long afterward, she smells Ramon in the hut. He comes to her, and she desperately tries not to show her true feelings as he reaches for her, telling her the same lies he always does and promises her they will be together soon.
