Section 8, Pages 271 - 299 Summary
When Isabella wakes, it takes her a moment to orient herself before she realizes Ramon is in the room with her. He signals her to be quiet, pointing to a microphone behind the painting, and another in the lamp. He takes her into the bathroom, opens all the taps, flushes the toilet and tells her he is in the same position as she is. He proclaims undying love, promising soon they will all be together again, kisses her and leaves her believing he is still the man she married. She pulls herself together, showers, and her escort from the airport tells her they must leave. She is told Nicky is already gone. At the terminal, she is given an envelope and is dumped at the entrance with her suitcase. Inside, she finds instructions asking her to report the stage...
