Chapter 18 Summary

Meg awakes in the backseat of John's police car. Quincy is using the smelling salts to wake her up. When Meg asks Officer Leroy where John is, he tells her that John is having a panic attack of his own because his brother and his brother's girlfriend are the ones that got killed on that bridge.

The train roars by and Meg starts to cry. Meg cries all of the way home, driving her motorcycle with Quincy following in the ambulance and Officer Leroy behind him. She changes for work and is still crying when she gets to the diner. Corey and Purcell rush to her to find out what's wrong, but she shrugs it off as teenage angst. Meg even offers to teach Purcell how to read.
