Chapter 4 Summary

At 6 am, Lois's shift ends at the police station. She offers to drive Meg home, as they are driving out of the parking lot, Meg's office, Officer After, is driving in. when he sees them, Lois floors it and drives Meg to the parking lot of the diner her parents own. Her father glowers at her as she goes into the trailer they live in on the property. She showers, dresses and goes to work. Later, her father tells her that she's going to be riding in the cop car on night shift, work in the diner on morning shift and that he and her mother are going to Graceland. Meg thinks that worse things have happened to her.
