Rownie
Rowan “Rownie” the Younger is a boy of about ten or 12, and is the younger brother of Rowan. Rownie does not know his own age, for he is one of the stray children collected by Graba the witch. Rownie is a curious and courageous boy who greatly admires his brother, and is devastated when Rowan suddenly disappears. Rownie’s desire to find his brother ultimately leads him to breaking away from Graba and falling in with Thomas’s goblin acting troupe. Rownie’s life with the goblins is a bit uncomfortable at first, as Rownie has lived his life fed by rumors and bigotry directed toward them. However, Rownie soon comes to feel at home, promising to help them find Rowan in exchange for learning stagecraft magic.
