Summary

Part Five: "Fly Away Home" starts with Chapter 107: "Away in a Manger." Jamie and Claire care for their new cows as one gives birth. Agnes's stepfather, Aaron, arrives to thank Claire for saving the twins. Then, he says Captain Cunningham is trading with the Cherokee. He also sent a letter to Ferguson with plans to arrest and execute Jamie. He asks if Aaron knows Scotchee Cameron: an Indian superintendent and friend of Jamie's. Aaron gives Cameron's location. After dinner, Claire wonders if Mrs. Cunningham knows her son's plans. Jamie thinks Cameron may be able to influence the Cherokee. Still, he prepares to deal with Cunningham's accomplices.
