Summary

Chapter 95: "Pozegnanie" opens as Bree watches the soldiers pay respects to the General. She wonders if William has another motive for joining her. When she checks on him, William promises he will not leave her until they return home. General Lincoln arrives and Bree sketches what she can, but the entire tent is overcome by the foul smell of the body. William and Cinnamon escort her out and Lieutenant Hanson finds them lodgings.

In Chapter 96: "One Thing of Value," they settle in a former chicken coop. Bree falls asleep, dreaming of struggling soldiers.
