Summary

Chapter 76: "A Thief in the Night" starts as Jamie wakes up and urgently has sex with Claire. Once they are done, Jamie recalls a face and later asks Claire why she did not tell him that Frank looked like Jack Randall. Claire says the resemblance was superficial and recalls Jack as evil. Jamie admits he dreamed of a kind Frank with Jack looming behind him, asking how Jamie wanted to die. Claire says she did not want to hurt him more but Jamie still wonders if Frank wrote the book to kill him somehow. Claire recalls that Frank never told her that Jamie was alive.
