Chapter 18 Summary
Eve and Roarke arrive at Nadine's apartment, and there is no answer when they ring her buzzer. As the couple look around, they find no evidence that anything is amiss. That is, until Eve listens to Nadine's transmission log and realizes there is no call to the news station, requesting time off. When Eve sees that Nadine has spoken to the Louise Kirski's parents, she decides to give them a call. When Mrs. Kirski tells Eve that Nadine did not attend Louise's memorial service, a niggling worry begins to fill Eve. Eve speaks to the woman for a few moments, promising her that she will not stop until there is justice for her daughter.
Back at Cop Central, Eve listens in dismay as Feeney tells her that Yvonne just used too much coded language in her diary, it is impossible to nail down...
