Victor is on the ship sailing across the Atlantic. In chapter fifteen, he is still wearing the tuxedo when he boards. He is so stoned by the time Palakon's driver arrives that he doesn't remember boarding the ship.
In chapter fourteen, Victor spends the first few days at sea recovering. He attends a life boat drill and spends a lot of time in the casino. He constantly talks about the camera and crew following him.
In chapter thirteen, he meets cinematographer Felix and asks if he is doing the shooting. Felix says that he is and that Victor is doing okay. Felix asks if he has read the script and knows what is going to happen to him.
