Summary

In Now, Kit describes how she feels the renewed sense of competition with Diane as she gets to the lab before anyone else. The order there makes her feel more comfortable. Diane arrives that day. Kit feels as if she has seen a ghost when she first catches sight of her. Diane appears to have prepared herself for seeing Kit and tells her that she always knew Kit would be a success because she was the smartest person she knew. Because there are not enough lab coats, Diane wears the blood red coat she wore at the lab where she worked previously. Kit hears rumors that Diane went to lunch with Severin. She is shocked because Severin has never taken any of them to lunch.
