Chapter 13 Summary

Carmen, Bridget and Lena pick Tibby up in Carmen's car for a surprise. Tibby keeps telling the others she doesn't want to go, even as the four of them drive off. They go to the swimming pool that just happens to be closed. Not waiting for anyone else, Bridget climbs over the fence and motions for the others to follow. Tibby, however, says she will not. She is scared to death of the thought of climbing. She stays outside alone while the others splash in the pool in their underwear.

Carmen takes Katherine to the hospital as a favor for Tibby, and they decide to wait in the children's playroom. While Carmen is on her hands and knees imitating a penguin, Win pops up from behind a large playhouse, and Carmen is very embarrassed. Win introduces her to a little girl just slightly...
