Summary

Section 4 is titled Poornima. Chapter 1 finds Poornima convincing Guru to let her be a courier. She applies for a passport and learns about visas. She knows no one in the U.S. will sponsor her and that she does not have enough money. Poornima knows that she needs Guru’s help, but that he will not help her if he knows he is helping her. Poornima talks to Guru about previous couriers. She realizes that she will need to learn English. She takes a class, but it does not teach her what she thinks she needs to know.
