Summary
Two days before her eightieth birthday, Penelope is on a train heading north. After many years of living alone, she is happy with her partner Jeremy, whom she met in her late sixties at a Tai Chi class. As she got older and close to the end of her life, Penelope couldn't stop thinking about her birth parents. With her daughter Sarah's help, she did an Ancestry DNA test in the hopes of finding some genetic relatives. When the results arrive, Penelope is shocked to learn that her heritage is 13% African. She then finds out that one of her blood parents has also done an Ancestry DNA test and that she can connect with them through the site.
