Chapters 11-12 Summary

Anna returns in Chapter 11, to find Jessica there. However, Anna is very nice to Jessica, surprising Skye. Jessica leaves, and Skye goes for a walk; she loves to look at certain houses in their neighborhood, and has devised a walk around them. When she gets home, however, Skye is told by her mother that she has to go to a Cross-the-Line Workshop, which is painful and Skye does not want to go. At the same time, Skye receives an acceptance letter from an all-girls' school, Mills College, that has an excellent program in architecture. This disturbs Anna a great deal.

Back at school in Chapter 12, Skye runs into Lorri, who tells her that she was in a car accident the night of the rave. Skye then has to go to English, where they study propaganda, and disagrees strongly with the teacher...
